Robert says "I was born in Tucson, Arizona and while still in diapers my parents moved to Wisconsin. My earliest memory at a racetrack was at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and cheering on Dick Trickle in a purple A&W sponsored Mustang. With the Cup guys, back in the Mid 70s I was all about Richard Petty but in 79-80 this guy with funny looking hair and a bushy mustache was really getting under peoples skin and making a bunch of noise and he didn't like Waltrip much. Dale Earnhardt driving the Rod Osterlund was tough and I liked watching him race on the ragged edge and I've been a diehard Earnhardt fan ever since. In 1998 my sons and I were watching "Little E" and for as good as he was doing, we all declared our allegiance and away we go.
When I wasn't racing my own car on Saturday night, I'd either help out my buddies with their rides or take pictures of events, over time I got more and more interested with Photography and decided to make some money doing two things I love. Working overseas as a Government Contractor doesn't allow me to be at the track on weekends all the time but soon I'll head back and do the Photography thing full time. You can see some of my work here at Lucky Dog on the picture page.
