Cup Series Membership Information

Cup Series members must pay yearly membership dues to help pay for the costs of running the league. These funds are applied to the cost of the webhost provider and domain name for Lucky Dog Racing. The remainder of the funds help pay for the cost of the Championship trophy as well as other prizes for some of the games and contests that the league has.

Only members who participate in the Cup series need to pay these fees. For members who are just in the Nationwide and Truck series, these do not apply.

The cost for membership in the leagues is as follows:

1 Year in the Cup Series - $7.00
2 Years in the Cup Series - $10.00 (best value)

Cup series members also must pay additional fees if they choose to play in either the Nationwide or Truck series.
Each season in either league costs $5.00 per season.

If you are playing a full season, All league fees must be paid prior to Feb. 1st. Failure to do so could result in losing your spot for that season.

To check and see how many seasons you are paid up for, you can go to your Cup driver page. On the page you will see your contract status for each series that you are in. These are updated after your membership fees are received. If your contract status says that it expires at the end of the current year, you need to pay your membership fee by Feb 1st.

To pay your membership fees, you can either send a check or money order to Lou Demian, the President of the league. You can email me at ldemian@comcast.net

An easier option is to use Paypal which can be paid right away with a credit card or through your own Paypal account if you have one. You do not need a Paypal account to use this. There is an added fee while using Paypal. The added funds are 2.9% + .32 cents extra. If you choose to use Paypal, you can use the button below. The additional fees have already been added to the league prices.

Money Pit Segment Rules

There are 4 segments during the season. The entrance fee for each segment is $15. You can play in just one or all 4 segments if you choose. Each segment consists of 9 races. At the conclusion of each segment, the winnings will be mailed out to the winner or winners and the points will be reset for the next segment.

The points that you receive each week from the race results will be your money points. Race points will not count, only the standings points. The All-Star race will not be counted in the segments, only regular races. The All-Star race has a separate wager, please see below.

Tiebreakers

In case of a tie in points at the end of the segment, the tiebreaker would be decided in this order:
1. most wins
2. most top 5's
3. most top 10's
4. most points in the last race of the segment

Payout Percentages

The payout percentages with 8 or more players in a segment will be:

Winner: Receives 55% of the total pot

2nd place: Receives 30% of the total pot

3rd place: Receives 15% of the total pot

The more people that join, the larger the pot will be. If 15 people join, the total pot for a segment will be $225.00. $123.75 will go to the winner, $67.50 will go to 2nd place, and $33.75 will go to 3rd place.

NOTICE: If less than 8 people sign up for a segment, the entire pot will go to the winner. If more than 8 people sign up, 2nd and 3rd will take a portion too.

The Champion Fund

The Champion Fund is additional money that goes to the champion at the end of the season (Or the highest finisher in the money league, if the champion is not playing for money). The champion fund must be paid at the start of the season, or as soon as you join the league. The fee is $10 per person. If you choose not to pay the $10 at the start of the season, you will be inelligble to receive the championship fund winnings if you are the champion. The winnings would then go to the next highest finisher who is participating in the champion fund. If you wish, you can play for the champion fund only without competing in the money pit segments.

All-Star Cash Challenge

In addition to the money pit segments, each year for the All-Star Challenge, you can have the option of playing for cash. The fee for the cash challenge is $5.00. There will only be one winner for this event, with the winner receiving the entire pot. There must be at least 5 people signed up for this event to take place. Even if you are not elligible for the All Star Challenge, you may still play the cash challenge since this is a separate wager.

Rules For playing in The Money Pit or Cash Challenge

1. You must be 18 or over to play.

2. Payment must be received in full before each event.

3. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS unless a money pit segment does not take place. If you leave the league or are kicked out, you will not receive a refund of your money.

4. If you are joining the league late, you can still sign up for the next full segment of the money pit. Please e-mail the President if interested.
