Think You're Tough??

Then Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is!!

The Money Pit is an optional competition between league members who wish to wager for money in the Cup, Xfinity and Truck series. Enrollment is not required to play in the Lucky Dog Racing League. The standings points that you receive from your picks each week will be your points in the money pit. You can only play in the money pit for the series that you are a member of.

Please read below for details and payments for each series. Cup series members can also pay their yearly membership fees further down the page. Donations are also accepted at the bottom as well.

Cup Series Money Pit
Cup Series Money Pit Segment Rules

There are 4 segments during the season that consist of 9 races each. The entrance fee for each segment is $15. You can play in just one or all 4 segments if you choose. At the conclusion of each segment, the winner or top three finishers will be awarded the pot. The points will be reset for the next segment for those that are participating. All winnings of each segment will be distributed at the end of the season.

The points that you receive each week from the race results will be your money points. Race points will not count, only the standings points. Chase bonus points are not added in the segments. The All-Star race will not be counted in the segments, only regular races. The All-Star race has a separate wager, please see below.

The Champion Fund

The Champion Fund is additional winnings that goes to the champion at the end of the season (Or the highest finisher in the money league, if the champion is not playing for money). The champion fund must be paid at the start of the season, or as soon as you join the league. The fee is $10 per person. If you choose not to pay the $10 at the start of the season, you will be ineligible to receive the championship fund winnings if you are the champion. The winnings would then go to the next highest finisher who is participating in the champion fund. If you wish, you can play for the champion fund only without competing in any of the money pit segments. Chase bonus points are counted for the champion fund.

All-Star Cash Challenge

In addition to the money pit segments, each year for the All-Star Challenge, you can have the option of playing for cash. The fee for the All-Star cash challenge is $5.00. There will only be one winner for this event, with the winner receiving the entire pot. There must be at least 5 people signed up for this event to take place. Even if you are not eligible for the All Star race, you may still play the cash challenge since this is a separate wager.

Tiebreakers

In the event of a tie in points at the end of a segment, the tiebreaker would be decided in this order:

1. most wins within the segment
2. most top 5's within the segment
3. most top 10's within the segment
4. most points in the last race of the segment

Cup Series Membership Information

Cup Series members must pay yearly membership dues to help pay for the costs of running the league. These funds are applied to the cost of the webhost provider and domain name for Lucky Dog Racing. The remainder of the funds help pay for the cost of the Championship trophy as well as other prizes for some of the games and contests that the league has. NON CUP MEMBERS DO NOT NEED TO PAY A MEMBERSHIP BUT IF YOU WISH TO DONATE, YOU MAY DO SO AT THE BOTTOM.

The cost for membership in the leagues is as follows:

** PLEASE DESCRIBE THIS IMAGE ** 1 Year in the Cup Series - $7.00
** PLEASE DESCRIBE THIS IMAGE ** 2 Years in the Cup Series - $10.00 (best value)

If you are playing a full season, All league fees must be paid prior to Feb. 1st. Failure to do so could result in losing your spot for that season.

To check and see how many seasons you are paid up for, you can go to your Cup driver page. On the page you will see your contract status for each series that you are in. These are updated after your membership fees are received. If your contract status says that it expires at the end of the current year, you need to pay your membership fee by Feb 1st.

To pay your membership fees, you can either send a check or money order to Lou Demian, the President of the league. You can email me at loudemian@gmail.com

An easier option is to use Paypal which can be paid right away with a credit card or through your own Paypal account if you have one. You do not need a Paypal account to use this. There is an added fee while using Paypal. The added funds are 2.9% + .32 cents extra. If you choose to use Paypal, you can use the button below. The additional fees have already been added to the league prices.

Membership Options

Just select which membership options you would like. You need to select one option, then click the "add to cart button". It will open up a new window. You can go back and select other options and update your cart each time.

Donations

Although they aren't required, league donations help fund the league even more. The president of the league does not make much of a profit, the Cup membership funds cover the website fees, the cost of the trophy and other prizes during the season. All of the money pit funds are paid straight to the winners, the president does not receive any cut. If you feel that your experience in the league warrants an extra contribution, please feel free to do so! It will be much appreciated! You may use Paypal below or send to my address: Lou Demian, 12 Sequoia Court, Marlton NJ 08053.

If you do not want to be listed as being a donator, please inform me when you submit your gift. Thank You!
