R.J. Palmer was born in Youngstown, OH and lived there for 14 years until he moved to Vero Beach, FL to watch his favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers train and play. Since then he's worked multiple positions with the team, including Batboy, Concessions, Public Address, and now Music and Stats for Spring Training and the Vero Beach Devil Rays, Single-A minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Anytime you visit Holman Stadium, you can see him in his office in the Press Box always having a good time.
When it comes to racing, R.J. enjoys visiting Daytona on occasion for events, and also goes to a few dirt tracks in the area. His favorite driver is Denny Hamlin, originally because his favorite number is 11, but now because he is a fierce competitor and respectable driver in the Cup Series.
R.J. isn't married, but has a girlfriend who also enjoys NASCAR (unfortunately not Denny, but Carl Edwards), and also goes to races. She always keeps track of how he's doing on Lucky Dog Racing, even when he doesn't fare so well.
